The Midland 20017 is a 1/8 in. brass push-in union connector that joins two equal lengths of 1/8 in. tubing with a tool-free push-to-connect action. Do I need any tools to install this fitting?
No. Push the tube in until it bottoms out and the collet locks automatically. To release, push the collar in and pull the tube out.
What tubing does it accept?
Nominal 1/8 in. OD tubing. Use firm-walled tube (nylon, polyethylene, or PTFE) and cut it square for a reliable seal.
