Overview
The Midland 10015L is a 1/4 in. light pattern brass hex short rod nut for SAE 45-degree flare connections. The light pattern uses a thinner, lighter body than standard nuts to save weight and cost on lower-pressure runs. Its 1/2 in. hex and short 3/4 in. body tighten easily in confined spaces, drawing a flared 1/4 in. tube against its seat for a metal-to-metal seal rated to 1400 psi.

Typical Applications
Secures 1/4 in. SAE 45-degree flared tubing to flare fitting bodies in appliance gas connectors, refrigeration, fuel, instrumentation, and general low- to medium-pressure tubing assemblies. The light pattern is chosen where the full pressure rating of a standard nut is not needed and lower weight or cost is preferred.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does light pattern mean?
A lighter, thinner-walled nut body with a lower pressure rating than the standard pattern, used on lower-pressure lines.
Does it need thread sealant?
No. The SAE 45-degree flare seals metal-to-metal; no tape or dope on the flare seat.
What tube size does it fit?
A 1/4 in. tube that has been properly 45-degree flared.
Can I substitute a standard nut?
Yes, a standard 1/4 in. SAE 45-degree flare nut fits the same flare and offers a higher pressure rating.
