PVC & CPVC Ball Valves

PVC and CPVC ball valves are the standard shutoff valve for chemical dosing, water treatment, municipal water distribution, and any corrosive-fluid piping system where metal valves would corrode, leach, or contaminate the process. Non-metallic wetted parts — PVC or CPVC body, PTFE seats, and EPDM or Viton O-rings — make these valves compatible with chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, muriatic acid, sodium bisulfite, and hundreds of other chemicals that attack brass, iron, or stainless steel.

Apex Flow Solutions stocks Schedule 80 PVC ball valves (gray), Schedule 80 CPVC ball valves (off-white), and standard white IPS PVC ball valves in female NPT and socket (solvent-weld) end connections across sizes from 1/2 in. to 2-1/2 in.

PVC vs. CPVC

Standard PVC is rated to 140°F and 150 PSI at 73°F — suitable for ambient-temperature chemical service and cold water lines. CPVC extends the operating temperature to 200°F and offers improved resistance to chlorinated water, oxidizers, and concentrated acids, making it the preferred material for hot water chemical dosing and elevated-temperature process lines. See our PVC Chemical Compatibility Chart before specifying for any chemical service.
