Overview
The Midland 690402SC is a composite-body D.O.T. swivel elbow joining 1/4 in. push-in air brake tubing to a 1/8 in. male NPT port at 90 degrees. The positional swivel lets you aim the tube leg after threading, and the glass-reinforced body resists UV and vibration while weighing less than brass. Meets D.O.T. and SAE air brake standards.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the composite elbow DOT rated?
Yes. It meets FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 for air brake service, rated to 145 psi.
What does the swivel do?
It lets the tube leg rotate after you tighten the threads so you can aim the run cleanly.
What tubing does it accept?
1/4 in. OD DOT-rated nylon air brake tubing, cut square and pushed fully in.
What is the temperature limit?
-40°F to 140°F, lower than the brass version, so keep it away from high-heat zones.
