Overview
The Midland 10020L is a 5/8 in. light pattern brass hex short rod nut for SAE 45-degree flare connections. As the largest size in this series, it secures heavy 5/8 in. flared tubing with a 1 in. hex while keeping a compact 1.08 in. body for tight installs. The light pattern trims weight and cost; it is rated to 650 psi for copper, brass, aluminum, and steel hydraulic tubing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the pressure rating lower than smaller sizes?
Larger flare diameters carry more load per psi, so the maximum rated pressure decreases as size increases.
Does it need thread sealant?
No. The SAE 45-degree flare seals metal-to-metal; no tape or dope on the flare seat.
What tube size does it fit?
A 5/8 in. tube that has been properly 45-degree flared.
What wrench size do I need?
The nut takes a 1 in. hex wrench.
