Push-to-Connect Fittings

Push-to-connect fittings — also called push-in or John Guest style fittings — create a secure, tool-free connection to tubing with a single push. An internal collet grips the tube OD while an O-ring provides the pressure seal; to disconnect, press the release collar and withdraw the tube. Push-to-connect fittings are the fastest way to plumb pneumatic control systems, RO water purification, beverage dispensing equipment, and light-duty process instrumentation.

Apex Flow Solutions stocks brass push-to-connect fittings in adapters, elbows, and tees — the three most common shapes for pneumatic and fluid control panels. All fittings are compatible with polyethylene (PE), nylon, and polyurethane tubing in standard metric and fractional OD sizes.

Where Push-to-Connect Fittings Excel

Push-to-connect is the standard connection method in compressed air control circuits, pneumatic solenoid valve manifolds, RO and water purification systems, ice machine water lines, and any application where frequent disconnection for maintenance is expected. The tool-free release makes service far faster than compression or flare fittings.

Tubing Compatibility

Push-to-connect fittings require round, burr-free tubing cut square. Ensure the tubing OD matches the fitting's rated size — most fittings are rated for a specific OD range. Soft tubing (polyurethane) should use a tube insert stiffener to prevent collapsing at the collet.
