PVC and CPVC valves are the non-metallic shutoff and flow control solution for water treatment, chemical dosing, pool and spa systems, irrigation, and any process application where metal valves would corrode, leach, or contaminate the fluid. The all-plastic wetted path — PVC or CPVC body, PTFE ball seats, and EPDM or Viton seals — provides broad compatibility with chlorine, hypochlorite, muriatic acid, caustic soda, CO₂-saturated water, and many other aggressive chemicals.

Apex Flow Solutions carries PVC ball valves and PVC check valves in NPT and socket (solvent-weld) connections, from 1/2 in. through 2-1/2 in., in both Schedule 40 (white, standard pressure) and Schedule 80 (gray, heavy-duty) body ratings.
PVC vs. CPVC
Schedule 40/80 PVC is rated to 140°F maximum service temperature and handles the full range of water treatment and pool chemistry at ambient temperatures. CPVC (Chlorinated PVC) extends the temperature rating to 200°F for hot water chemical dosing, heated process lines, and elevated-temperature applications. If your process runs above 100°F, specify CPVC to maintain full pressure rating and seal integrity.
Socket vs. NPT Connections
Socket-end (solvent-weld) valves are cemented permanently into PVC piping and are the standard for fixed installations where the valve will not need to be removed for service. Female NPT-threaded valves are removable and reusable — the right choice when valve replacement is anticipated or the system uses threaded connections throughout. See our PVC Chemical Compatibility Chart before specifying seal materials for chemical service.
